The article presents the results of an analysis of the thousand-seed weight, seed quality, and germination capacity of certain woody plant species, conducted as part of a comprehensive evaluation of introduction outcomes. The study focused on seeds from species of the genera Malus and Sorbus, initially cultivated in nurseries in Belgium and Germany, and later transplanted—at the age of 8–10 years—into the harsher climatic conditions of Voronezh. A comparative analysis of the thousand-seed weight revealed that in 2024, the values for Malus 'Red Sentinel' and Sorbus intermedia 'Brouwers' were nearly two times lower than in 2022. This decrease is presumably associated with the impact of abnormal weather conditions during the spring of 2024. Seeds of the introduced Malus species exhibited low sowing quality, which limits their effectiveness for generative propagation. Nevertheless, vegetative reproduction remains a viable alternative. Seed propagation of these species, however, may be considered for the production of rootstocks.
