Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article addresses the problem of opacity in timber supply chains and the resulting lack of trust in the legality of its origin. The use of blockchain technology is proposed to create a digital passport for timber and ensure end-to-end traceability from the harvesting site to the final consumer. Real implementation cases, as well as the benefits and challenges of applying blockchain in the forestry sector, are analyzed.
