The article presents the results of an analysis of research by Russian authors devoted to the study of issues of agricultural land reclamation, including in the conditions of the forest-steppe. The analysis of publications has shown that modern research is aimed at solving the following issues: protection of lands from wind, moisture retention, reduction of aeolian removal of fine earth and soil flushing; development of an integrated approach to agroforestry in the system of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources; study of the impact of agroforestry plantations on the cost of agricultural land; research of mechanisms and ways of involving unused lands in economic turnover. The systematization of publications by Russian authors in the field of agro-reclamation, which reflect the specifics of the Central forest-steppe of the European Plain, has shown that the authors' attention is focused on comprehensive research on the effects of implementing agro-reclamation measures; the search for tools to adapt to climate change to offset anthropogenic impact and increase the efficiency of agro-industrial production through agroforestry; Special attention is paid to applied research on the organization of forest reclamation measures and their effectiveness, as well as the specifics of agroforestry in certain areas with specific climatic conditions.
