This article examines the process of assessing the feasibility of investing. An interpretation of optimal investment management is provided when modeling various situations under uncertainty. The main goal of possible investment is recognized as increasing the company's profit. This work emphasizes the significant impact of investment management on the results of investment of funds at a low level of renewal and modernization of production, also considering the high degree of depreciation of fixed assets and the low share of unprofitable organizations in the Russian Federation. The mechanism for the development of forestry enterprises is determined as a set of interrelated innovation and investment levers that ensure the implementation of their activities, stimulation and regulation.
