Climate change is one of the serious challenges for humanity and has not only socio-ecological consequences in the form of public health impacts, destruction of natural ecosystems, but also economic consequences in the form of damage caused by the destruction of the territory's infrastructure and various related processes. As a result, the relevance of the climate agenda is reflected in Russia's national climate policy and is aimed at identifying, managing, and adapting to climate risks. This article discusses an extremely important issue related to the classification of climate risks, which forms the basis for further forecasting the economic costs of implementing adaptation measures to climate change within the framework of regional greening policy.
