The article examines the conceptual foundations of the formation and functioning of the regional transport service system as a key element for ensuring its sustainable socio-economic development. The essence, principles, and elements of the regional transport service system are analyzed within the context of reproductive, systemic, and cluster approaches. The features of state regulation of transport activities in a market economy are investigated, contemporary problems are identified, and promising directions for the development of regional transport infrastructure are defined. Attention is also paid to the role of digital technologies and intelligent transport systems in enhancing the efficiency and safety of transport services.
