The article formulates a strategy for the development of an environmentally friendly class 2 tractor, and shows the scope of application in agricultural technologies. The main factors affecting the environmental safety of the tractor are given. It is shown that the main factors affecting the environmental compatibility of a Class 2 tractor with soil are the use of low-pressure tire-based wheel thrusters with adjustable air pressure on the move and the use of rubber-reinforced tracks.
