The article examines logistics as a key element in managing an industrial enterprise under modern conditions. The essence, role, and functions of logistics are revealed, and its impact on the competitiveness of the enterprise is highlighted. Special attention is given to the justification for improving logistical aspects of operations, which is associated with eliminating internal losses, reducing costs, increasing adaptability, and digitally transforming logistics processes. The article proposes key directions for the development of logistics systems that ensure the synchronization of procurement, production, and distribution. Conclusions are drawn about logistics as a system-forming component in the activities of an industrial enterprise, integrating internal and external flows and influencing core processes.
