The article is devoted to modern approaches to the use of IoT networks in precision farming systems. The key types of sensors used for monitoring agroecosystems are described - pH, electrical conductivity (EC), soil moisture and temperature sensors. A technical analysis of their operating principles, advantages and limitations in practical application is provided. Particular attention is paid to energy efficiency and the use of wireless data transmission technologies, in particular LoRaWAN, for organizing long-term monitoring in vast agricultural areas.
