In the article, the authors examine an integrated approach to the transport integration of the new residential microdistrict «Ostrova» in Kaluga. Based on a detailed forecast of transport demand up to 2035, the authors justify design solutions, including differentiated access design to highways, the use of internal roundabouts to improve safety, and the implementation of intelligent transport system elements. Particular attention is paid to developing sustainable mobility: creating bicycle paths, safe pedestrian zones, and green spaces. The project represents balanced planning that combines transport efficiency, safety, and quality of the urban environment.
