In the article, the authors examine the problem of the negative impact of motor vehicles on the ecological state of roadside areas along urban highways. They justify the necessity of applying a systematic approach based on the principles of road ecological safety. A set of ecologization measures has been developed and presented, including functional zoning, selection of resistant plant species, soil rehabilitation, and installation of noise barriers. The implementation of the proposed solutions will increase the level of greening, enhance the area's phytoremediation capacity, reduce acoustic load, and create a more comfortable urban environment. A conclusion is drawn about the socio-economic efficiency of the approach.
