Abstract:
The relevance of the study is due to the need to solve two interrelated tasks: industrial waste disposal and increasing soil fertility in forest nurseries. The aim of the work was to study the effect of an organomineral fertilizer based on sewage sludge and sunflower husk on the morphobiometric parameters of seedlings of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.). The effect of the component ratio (1:1-4) was evaluated in the model experiment.:1) and the application dose (10-50 %) to the peat substrate for the development of the aboveground and underground parts of plants. It has been established that pure OSV inhibits the growth of the root system (reducing the mass by 42.3 %), while an excess of husks limits the supply of nitrogen and phosphorus. The optimal synergistic effect was achieved at a ratio of OSV:husks of 1:1, where the lignocellulose matrix of the husks immobilizes the potentially toxic elements of OSV, while simultaneously improving the water and air regime of the substrate. At a dose of 20 %, the maximum values were recorded: the root length increased by +40 %, the root system biomass increased by +15 %, and the root system coefficient reached an optimal value of 1.62. Increasing the dose to 40-50 % caused osmotic stress and a 10-12 % decrease in growth parameters. The obtained results confirm the prospects of using a composition of OSV and sunflower husks (1:1) at a dose of 20 % for intensifying the cultivation of coniferous planting material, while simultaneously ensuring the disposal of waste, detoxification of the substrate, and the formation of physiologically stable seedlings with a high potential for survival in reforestation.
