Serbian spruce (Picea omorika (Panč.) Purk.) is a relict conifer renowned for its narrow conical crown, ornamental appeal, and high tolerance to urban stressors. This study reports the outcomes of its introduction at the amenity forest of the All-Russian Research Institute of Forest Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology (Voronezh) conducted since the 1970s. We describe the species' morphological traits, biological characteristics, and phenological patterns under Central Black Earth Region conditions, along with evaluations of growth performance and adaptation to local climate and anthropogenic pressures. The species shows strong winter hardiness (USDA zone 4; Vekhov score V), good shade tolerance, and high resistance to air pollution and diseases. We present details on the provenance, age, and health status of the introduced trees, together with measured biometric parameters and long-term records of phenological phases. The findings highlight promising prospects for wider use of the species in the region. Serbian spruce is recommended for landscaping in parks, avenues, and hedges across the Central Black Earth Region. The species’ high ornamental value and exceptional needle retention after cutting make it a promising alternative to conventional Christmas tree species.
