The paper addresses a relevant task in nursery management — finding effective and economical growth stimulants for tree seedlings. an experimental preparation for foliar feeding was obtained based on enzymatic hydrolysate of sunflower meal using the actinomycete strain Streptomyces sp. AC-1324 (VKPM). To determine the biological activity of the preparation, an algorithmic approach based on the dichotomy method (binary search) was applied instead of traditional empirical dose selection. A range of concentrations obtained by sequential 2-fold dilution was investigated. It was established that the optimal concentration providing the maximum growth-stimulating effect is 3.125 %. The concentration of 6.25 % also showed effectiveness but is less economically feasible. The proposed method allows accelerating the introduction of innovative biological preparations into reforestation practice.
