Abstract:
The article is dedicated to analyzing the transformation of education as a response to the global climate and social challenges of today. The outdated industrial model of education is unable to prepare new generations for life in conditions of uncertainty caused by climate change, digitalization, and growing inequality. The aim of the work is to identify directions for a fundamental renewal of educational systems to develop key competencies in students: adaptability, resilience, critical thinking, and the ability to take effective action in an ever-changing world. The article systematically examines: the interconnection of climate and social crises that create complex challenges for society; new educational goals shifting from knowledge transmission to fostering environmental and social responsibility; and the necessary changes in the content and methods of education, including interdisciplinarity, integration of sustainable development principles, and the use of digital technologies. Pedagogical strategies for fostering civic engagement through practice-oriented projects. Prospects for the development of education that require the synergy of efforts from the state, educational institutions, and society. It is concluded that education should become a systemic tool for adaptation, shaping not only knowledge but also values of solidarity and global responsibility, which requires consolidated long-term efforts from all interested parties.
