The condition of a plasma coating depends on the correct selection of process conditions. These, in turn, determine the temperature field generated in the part and coating. The condition of a coating or part can be predicted by modeling the temperature conditions of the plasma treatment process. This article examines the mathematical modeling of thermal processes in which both an indirect and direct arc act as a heat source. The influence of process conditions on the temperature parameters of the plasma treatment process is analyzed as they change.
