Abstract:
This article substantiates the need to intensify the heat transfer process between hot and cold coolants in shell-and-tube heat exchangers. These units are used in many industries. With a constant increase in productivity, it is necessary to intensify the heat transfer process, which can be achieved by increasing either the heat transfer surface area or the heat transfer coefficient. The methods of intensifying the heat transfer process by changing the position of the heat exchanger tubes and making transverse annular knurling in them are considered.
