Abstract and keywords

Abstract:
This article examines the scientific legacy of G. F. Morozov as the founder of Russian forestry and the creator of a holistic concept of the forest as a biogeocenotic, geographical, and historical phenomenon. It explores the key stages of his life and career, the influence of his practical work at the Khrenovskoye Forestry on the formation of his scientific views, and the significance of his fundamental work, "The Doctrine of the Forest," for the development of biogeocenology, reforestation, and forest typology. Based on a survey of students in the Faculty of Economics, the article demonstrates the pedagogical potential of the biographical method in the educational process, its role in shaping students' professional values, motivation, and scientific interest. It concludes that examining G.F. Morozov's biography not only broadens students' historical and scientific horizons but also strengthens their value and professional orientation.
