The article is devoted to the study of the activities of the revolutionary circle of "Americans" in the Voronezh province at the beginning of the XX century. as a source on the history of the Social democratic movement. The organization of conspiratorial work, logistical connections and methods of communication between revolutionary cells are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the role of the circle in coordinating the interaction between the various branches of the RSDLP. The biography of important figures of the revolutionary movement (O.A. Afanasiev, N.N. Kardashev) is supplemented.
