Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
A comparative analytical review of network traffic modeling methods is performed. Analytical models based on queuing theory, simulation models, and field experiments are considered. The application areas of each method are defined, and estimates of accuracy and labor intensity are provided. Recommendations are formulated for choosing a method depending on the nature of the problem to be solved.
