Abstract:
The paper considers the problem of the "crash" of university websites on the day of publication of the enrollment order, when thousands of applicants try to open one page at once. The site is tested in advance by simulating an artificial load similar to the real one. For this, free programs (k6, JMeter) are used that simulate user behavior. The test will show what exactly breaks first (database, server) and how many people the site can withstand. Knowing the results of the program, you can eliminate weaknesses in advance so that the site works without interruptions during peak load.
