The relevance of the research is determined by a complex of interrelated factors of modern socio-economic and environmental development. Industrial intensification, urbanization, and the expansion of resource extraction lead to ecosystem degradation, depletion of natural capital, and increased risks to public health and sustainable development. This creates an imperative need to find effective answers. The modern paradigm of sustainable development requires not opposition, but synergy between economic growth and environmental well-being. Systematization and critical analysis of numerous concepts and approaches to solving environmental problems are necessary for the formation of sound strategies for the development of environmental protection activities under anthropogenic pressure.
