The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the aircraft wing as a key bearing element that determines aerodynamics, flight characteristics and operation. Geometry parameters (elongation, contraction, sweep, dihedron, twist), profile selection (laminar, supercritical) and mechanization devices (flaps, slats, fowler mechanisms) are considered, with an emphasis on compromises between flight modes and modern optimization methods. The role of mechanization in increasing lifting power at low speeds and integration with the design scheme for efficiency and safety is emphasized.
