Abstract:
The article shows how computer modeling is changing the automotive industry. Today, technologies such as multiphysical modeling and digital twins are no longer just auxiliary tools, but a key way to create innovations. Their comprehensive application significantly reduces the time and cost of developing new cars. The need for this is dictated by modern challenges: global competition, strict environmental regulations and the development of autonomous transport. Based on the analysis of industry practices and scientific publications, the paper identifies the main areas of use of modeling, describes promising trends and proves their economic effectiveness for automakers.
