Abstract:
This article compares the MAX31865ATP and MAX31855 integrated circuits used for temperature measurement with RTDs and K-type thermocouples. The operating principles, functional features, and SPI interface specifics are discussed. RTD sensors and thermocouples are compared in terms of accuracy, temperature range, and circuit complexity. Minimal STM32 HAL-based code examples and practical usage considerations are also presented.
