The article highlights the relevance of the forest fires problem. The role of aviation in combating natural disasters is emphasized. The prospects for using unmanned aerial vehicles in firefighting activities are considered. A brief overview of UAVs used in forest firefighting and forest monitoring to detect fires is provided.
