The prospect of using hollow-fiber membrane material in gas separation plants is considered. Simplified methods for calculating processes implemented on membrane materials are presented. It is proved that effective gas separation is determined by finding the optimal balance between high permeability (performance) and high selectivity (degree of separation) of membrane materials.
