Currently, there is an urgent need to protect the environment from harmful emissions contained in the combustion products of fuel into the atmosphere. One of the main suppliers of toxic gases into the atmosphere is motor transport equipped with internal combustion engines - the most widespread thermal engine in the world. Scientists, researchers and laboratories of major automakers are working on projects that will reduce the amount of toxic gases in the combustion products of fuel. One of the areas of work is the use of water injection. In order to practically study the operation of an internal combustion engine on a mixture with water, an experimental setup based on a four-stroke single-cylinder gasoline engine was developed.
