The article reviews existing non-destructive testing methods for fatigue stress in load-bearing metal structures of an automobile. A variant is proposed for installing a special sensor on the monitored structure, in which fatigue accumulates together with the load-bearing metal structure. This makes it possible to indirectly assess the degree of internal damage and the level of material fatigue without its disassembly.
