The article discusses the improvement of the control methodology and automation of the process of mixing wood chips with a binder in the production of wood panels (DSP, OSB, MDF). The disadvantages of traditional gravimetric and chemical control methods, as well as control systems based on fixed time cycles, are analyzed. The implementation of an automated control system (ACS) for a continuous mixer using a predictive model (MPC) is proposed.
