Abstract:
The article explores modern approaches to the automation of the asphalt concrete mixture (ACM) production process. It describes the main automated control loops in the areas of raw material preparation and dosing of components (inert materials, cement, water, and chemical additives) using programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The article presents a mathematical model of the dosing process that takes into account dynamic errors and the effect of delayed material supply ("overshoot"). Based on experimental data, the article demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm with proactive control. It has been substantiated that the introduction of adaptive automation systems contributes to improving the quality of the mixture, optimizing energy consumption, and reducing production costs.
