This article examines cork as a promising eco-friendly material and its potential use in the furniture industry. Emphasis is placed on the habitats, unique properties, and structure of Amur cork bark. The article also explores the experience of French, British, and Portuguese designers in working with cork bark in furniture and interior design. The technological process of manufacturing pressed cork products is also discussed.
