The article is devoted to the features of the implementation of the process of transition from a green economy to a green region on the example of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR). The transition of the KBR to a sustainable development model involves the combination of the implementation of the principles of a green economy with the implementation of measures to preserve nature and transform the region into an environmentally friendly and attractive one. The path from a green economy to a green region on the example of the KBR is carried out through the system-forming industries – agriculture and tourism, as well as taking into account the natural and climatic features of the territorial location and creating conditions for the implementation of elements of bio-economy.
