The article discusses and updates the role of transport in the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan. After analyzing open sources, the author tried to uncover the existing maritime, rail, air and road transport systems that currently ensure the functioning of the entire social and economic space of a fairly closed country in the world. Three main transport corridors of the country are shown - Northern, Central and «North-South».
