The paper considers the concept of aggression, the essence and its practical significance in the life of an individual and society. The role of aggression as a component of the conflict is shown. Examples are considered in the historical perspective and in the context of modern events. A brief analysis of the problems was carried out, a table of a comparative description of the existing strategies for choosing a solution was presented, and options for effective and mutually beneficial cooperation were proposed.
