The article examines in detail the main sources of problems associated with waterlogging of the embankment, examines the causes of their occurrence and describes effective methods to prevent the destruction of the surface of highways. The article also examines the mechanisms of the negative effects of waterlogging on the stability of the roadbed and road clothing, depending on the time of year. Special attention is paid to a set of preventive and protective measures. The paper describes effective methods to prevent the destruction of the surface of highways due to waterlogging.
