Environmental issues are among the most important in modern society. The languages of the world are responding to this by creating a large number of neologisms and neofraseological units related to the topic of ecology. This article examines the features of the formation of some of the neofraseological units related to the topic of ecology in English. Special attention is paid to the problem of their borrowing by the Russian language.
