using a real example of an accident, various expert approaches to solving issues of compliance of the actions of vehicle drivers with the requirements of the Russian Federation Traffic Regulations are considered. It is proposed to make changes to the automotive technical examination methodology when assessing the technical ability of drivers to comply with the requirements of clause 6.14 of the Russian Traffic Regulations, depending on the type of intersection regulation and the amount of service braking.
