Abstract (English):
Sea buckthorn is a unique plant widely distributed in temperate and subtropical regions of Eurasia. The article discusses the main classes of nutrients contained in sea buckthorn. Sea buckthorn is valued for its antioxidant, antidiabetic, immunomodulatory, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects. The article discusses the main classes of nutrients contained in sea buckthorn and their impact on human health. Methods of extraction of valuable components from sea buckthorn are also considered. Optimization of extraction methods and a detailed study of the biological activity of individual components of sea buckthorn are promising areas of research that contribute to expanding the range of applications of this valuable plant.
