this article examines the important affect of aggression, which manifests itself in destructive human drives and personality traits. Focus is primarily on the concept of aggression itself. Through the lens of various psychological approaches, the various views of renowned psychologists studying this phenomenon are examined. The concepts of aggression, aggressiveness, anger (as an emotion), and hatred are distinguished. The categories and causes of aggression are examined, focusing on both psychological and biological (neurophysiological) research. Particular attention is paid to the study of affect through the lens of psychoanalytic discourse.
