the article presents a comparative analysis of statistical methods used in natural sciences, social sciences, economics, engineering, and computer science. It covers both classical methods of mathematical statistics (correlation and regression analysis, statistical hypothesis testing, and descriptive statistics) and modern approaches based on machine learning and multivariate data analysis. The article focuses on the applicability of these methods, the requirements for data volume and quality, and their limitations.
