the article examines current problems of consumer rights protection when making purchases on electronic marketplaces in the context of digitalization of the consumer market of the Russian Federation. The author analyzes the current legislation on consumer rights protection in relation to the specifics of marketplaces functioning as intermediaries between sellers and buyers, identifies legal gaps and conflicts in the regulation of this sphere. Particular attention is paid to the problem of differentiation of responsibility between the marketplace and the seller, mechanisms of claim work, as well as judicial practice on disputes in the field of electronic commerce.
