Modern approaches to the application of intelligent transport systems for forecasting accidents in urban environments are considered. Based on a comparative review of international experience, the need to transition to probabilistic-statistical models is justified. Directions for the integration of heterogeneous information flows and the standardization of forecasting modules in accordance with national standards are proposed.
