With the socio-economic development, the number of cars increases every year. There are conflicts between automobile and pedestrian traffic, and pedestrians are one of the vulnerable parties. Complex traffic accidents can lead to unavoidable accidents. The paper presents: statistics on road accidents in China for 2016-2021, concepts of traffic assessment, causes of conflicts between pedestrians and vehicles at intersections.
