Статья посвящена мировой торговле, интегрирующей торговлю нематериальными активами и торговлю товарами и услугами. Мировая торговля нематериальными активами по-прежнему не имеет всеобъемлющей структуры, интегрирующей международную торговлю товарами, услугами и нематериальными активами, а также при этом существуют трудности со сбором данных. Многие теории, связанные с торговлей, были разработаны и применены в контексте международной торговли товарами. При этом услуги рассматривались в качестве промежуточных ресурсов, в то время как нематериальные активы не были систематически проанализированы и интегрированы в измерение торгового баланса.
